DMX MUSIC UNVEILS STATE-OF-THE-ART STUDIO, WITH EQUIPMENT FROM GUITAR CENTER PROFESSIONAL
Studio At Los Angeles Headquarters Designed To Host Unique Celebrity Interviews Including Former Supreme, Mary Wilson
Los Angeles (March 11, 2002) – DMX MUSIC, the global leader in bringing music entertainment to homes and businesses, today announced it has unveiled a new recording studio featuring a Pro Tools digital system with 24-track mixing consoles, from Guitar Center Professional. The new studio allows DMX MUSIC to record visiting artists performing and revealing little known details of their careers and music in exclusive interviews. Unique DMX MUSIC special projects, such as "Top 101 of 2001 Countdown" or the "DMX MUSIC Awards" shows, will be produced completely in-house.
"There really is no better way for DMX MUSIC programmers to express our real passion for the music and utilize our industry and broadcast production experience than doing the entire project in house at our own studio," said Rick Gillette, Vice President of Music Entertainment, DMX MUSIC. "That becomes especially true on special projects, such as our exclusive interviews with performers like John Mellencamp and Andrea Bocelli, who some call ‘the fourth tenor; or our recent in-depth interview with Mary Wilson, formerly of the Supremes. It made perfect sense to build our own studio."
In March 2002, "The DMX Listening Room" features the ‘Martini Hour,’ which rolls back the rugs, dusts off the 78 records for dancing the night away. Artists include Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett and the "Unforgettable" Nat and Natalie Cole. Last month, "The DMX Listening Room" debuted an exclusive interview with singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette, who provided an introspective of her exceptional career. DMX MUSIC offers over 100 professionally programmed music channels with styles ranging from jazz, rock and country to classical, hot hits and world music.
Guitar Center Professional is a unit of Guitar Center Inc., the nation’s leading retailer of guitars, amplifiers, percussion instruments, keyboards, pro-audio and recording equipment.
