| THE 3rd ANNUAL DMX MUSIC AWARDS PRESENTERS FOR THE HIGHEST PROFILE AUDIO AWARDS SHOW INCLUDE DARIUS RUCKER, COWBOY JUNKIES, TERRY NUNN, DONELL JONES, CEE-LO AND MORE Los Angeles (August 13, 2002) – DMX MUSIC, an international leader in delivering unparalleled music experiences to homes and businesses, today announced the Third Annual DMX MUSIC Awards to air on September 16, 2002 on the “The DMX Listening Room” and “Holidays & Happenings” channels. Presenters for the off-beat awards show include Darius Rucker, Cowboy Junkies, Terry Nunn, Donell Jones, Cee-Lo and more. Additionally, starting August 19th, fans are encouraged to log onto www.dmxmusic.com to vote for their favorite artists. All voting participants are also automatically entered into a contest to win exciting prizes. The music award winners will be determined by music fans who vote online between August 19- September 15. When fans visit the DMX MUSIC web site to cast their vote for each category, audio clips from all the nominated songs will be available on the web site and full-length songs from the nominees will be spotlighted on DMX MUSIC's “Holiday & Happenings” channel. Winners will be announced during the special Award show program. The program will be replayed as a “DMX-tra Special” show on “The DMX Listening Room” channel from September 16-22. “With the seemingly thousands of award shows represented in the entertainment industry, we wondered if one more would really make a difference- and it has! This year we're excited to produce the Third Annual DMX MUSIC Awards show because it rocks,” said Rick Gillette, vice president of programming for DMX MUSIC. “What other awards program recognizes the vision for the Best Shoes Worn in a Video or the Best Song Used in a Car Commercial? Plus the show really is a big hit with music fans, cable operators, the artists and their record labels.” DMX MUSIC programs and distributes over 103 channels of music covering virtually all genres, as reflected in the 35 wide-ranging award categories announced today. The broad range of award categories include Favorite Little Artist, Favorite Song In A Music Video, Best Moonlighter, Best Comeback, Best Cover Song, Favorite Lyric From A Song, in addition to the standard Favorite Pop Song, Favorite Rock Album, Favorite Alternative Song and many more (see attachment for full list of nominees). “The DMX Listening Room” is programmed with a dozen multi-faceted, entertaining music series that rotate throughout a weekly schedule.
